US Issues A Stop-Payment To Its Government

Voters Take First Step To Cancelling Obama's Credit Card As most experts had predicted, yesterday's midterm election dealt a serious blow to the ruling Democrats' opportunity to drive America toward a socialist democracy.
Gaining more than 60 seats in the House of Representatives (the greatest gain by any party in modern times) and at least six seats in the Senate, the Tea-Party-fueled G.
O.
P.
wrested control of the House away from Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats, and cut the liberals' advantage in the Senate to a razor-thin margin.
Since taking control of both houses of Congress in 2006 and of the White House two years ago, the Democrats have spent money like drunken sailors.
If taking over financial institutions under the pretense of "bailing them out" was allowed (though widely disdained), why not take over a car company or two, as well? If the public doesn't like a big move toward socialized medicine, why not just ram through a vast takeover of the health care industry anyway, through questionable technical procedures? If one multi-billion-dollar "stimulus" package can be gotten away with (though proven to be a colossal waste of money), wouldn't two - or more - be better? Americans overwhelming hate this progressive agenda.
The "progress" toward socialism had to be halted.
And since the ruling elites had clearly come to regard us dumb-old voters as an ATM, or a bank card of sorts, it was incumbent upon voters to unify in a loud shout of "enough.
" It's like the "bank" upon which Obama and Congress had been writing bad checks for our grandchildren to cash has issued a "stop payment.
" We've revoked Obama's imagined allowance.
He's grounded.
Of course, the big work starts now.
Both parties claim to have various intentions to "work together," or even compromise.
But frankly, compromise is the last thing the new conservative House of Representatives needs to think about.
We hired them to stop the bleeding, not to compromise.
We need lower taxes so people can once again dare to do great things like start and grow a business, expand a product line, or invent the next great technology.
We need a return to the U.
S.
Constitution, and to the free-market principles that are the only hope for a crumbling global economy.
And we need to stop, and then reverse, as much of the left-wing's agenda as can be accomplished.
Don't let Washington change you, new lawmakers.
You were hired to change Washington.
If you become like the bums we just threw out, come two years from now, we'll toss you out, too.
