Edison Hotel Review: A Top Luxury Hotel In The Theater District In New York City

The Edison Hotel at 228 West 47th St.
is an excellent choice for anyone who is visiting Manhattan and wants to stay in true luxury.
This hotel was built in 1931 and has a beautiful Art Deco design.
And as great as it looks on the outside, it's even nicer on the inside where anyone who stays at this hotel really stays in luxury.
Among the features of the Edison Hotel are wi-fi internet service, a fitness center, valet parking, a fine restaurant ("Sofia's), the Edison Ballroom, a lounge, and concierge services.
But really my favorite thing about this hotel is it's location in the Theater District.
This makes it a fantastic place to stay for anyone who wants to see some of the great Broadway shows.
It's also just one block away from "Restaurant Row" which features many of the finest restaurants in New York City.
If you're a "foodie," you will certainly to check that out.
It's also a very short walk over to Times Square and just a few blocks away from the Rockefeller Center (where programs such as Saturday Night Live and the Today Show are filmed.
) The 49th street N, R, & Q trains are less than two blocks away.
I don't think you've really had a NYC experience unless you ride the subway trains.
And unless you have a ton of money to blow on taxi rides, they are really the best way to get around the city.
In fact, they can often be faster than taking a cab because the traffic is quite frequently terrible.
Now obviously a hotel of this calibre at such a perfect location does not come cheap but it's not outrageously expensive either.
You may be able to find a room for less than $200 (depending on the season and how early you make your booking.
