Planning the Perfect Event With Catering

We've all been to an event which was just a little bit too formal. Sit down dinners at a wedding and the standard dishes which come with them just can't work for everyone. It's impossible to have loads of options, which means there's always going to be at least someone (or a few people) who are disappointed. Mobile bar hire is a way of hosting an event anywhere at all, but without the right planning there's a lot of things which can go wrong.

While you might have been let down by more than your fair share of fish courses, you might have also been to an event that somehow managed to get everything right for everyone. But shy of providing a full menu worth of options, how did they do it? One of the most successful bits of catering I saw in recent years took the form of a gourmet barbeque. With couscous and quiche, burgers and sausages, potatoes and wraps, there was literally something for everyone, and there was more than enough too. These buffet style ways of dining mean that everyone can pick and choose what they want, and just how much they want as well. Usually the plates you'll get at a sit down are not quite enough for some of the guests, but too much for others. It means that lots goes to waste.

You can't always get your own caterers in if you choose to hire out a venue which does its own food and drink. If you choose to get involved with the growing trend of having a slightly less formal event with mobile bar hire and a lot of the socialising happening outside rather than in a stuffy room, you're more likely to have more control over food choices and beverages.

By using mobile bar hire, you can set up a marquee and host an event anywhere at all. This means that you can get in any sort of catering and you won't be limited by the venue. Simply set up a buffet table with all sorts of different foods (remembering to cater for specific dietary requirements as well as a range of tastes and little ones as well as adults), and let your guests choose their own food and drink from the tables and from your mobile bar hire. Wedding bars tend to be quite busy, so make sure you have plenty of drinks as well as loads of glasses on hand. You might get staff with the hire or you might need to sort out waiting staff as part of the venue.

Whatever you choose, mobile bar hire and an outside venue will allow you to make all the choices you want to, and keep your guests smiling.
