    • 1). Open your phone's main program group. If your Windows Mobile device is a Smartphone, press the "Start" soft key. If your device is a Pocket PC, tap the "Start" button with your stylus.

    • 2). Open the "Settings" menu. From the main program group screen, scroll down to locate and select the "Settings" icon to view a list of available settings options and categories.

    • 3). View the "Security" settings. Scroll down through the list of settings categories to locate and select "Security."

    • 4). Open the "Reset" or "Clear Storage" dialog. On a Smartphone, scroll through the list of available security settings options to locate and select "Reset." On a Pocket PC, search for and tap "Clear Storage."

    • 5). Acknowledge the warning. An "Alert" message will appear on your device screen, explaining that all data placed on your phone's memory and storage card will be permanently erased. To acknowledge your understanding of this warning, press or tap "OK" to proceed.

    • 6). Initiate the reset procedure. Place a check mark in the box beside the memory you want to clear or reset, and then press or tap "OK" to begin. Choose to reset only the main device memory, only the external storage card or both.
