    • 1). Position the cutting height adjuster located to the left of the driver's seat.

    • 2). Look above the mower deck for the idler pulley, a black doughnut shaped pulley in the center of the deck. Find the belt that is wrapped around the inside of the pulley and pull it off the pulley.

    • 3). Remove the belt off the right mandrel pulley on the right side of the deck. The pulley is visible by looking at the tractor from the right side. A retaining clip makes the belt fit tightly on the mandrel pulley, so pull the clip back while pulling he belt off the pulley.

    • 4). Move to the left side of the mower and remove the belt off the left mandrel pulley in the same fashion as the right side. The belt can now be safely pulled off the computer.

    • 5). Place the new belt around the right mandrel pulley. Secure it by snapping the retaining clip onto the belt.

    • 6). Lock the belt around the left mandrel pulley by securing it behind the clip. Pull it tight.

    • 7). Wrap the belt around the inside of the idler pulley.
