How to Make Easy Rectangle Storage Boxes
- 1). Lay the poster board over the cutting board. Cut the matte board to the desired size for the base of the box with the matte knife.
- 2). Cut the poster board to the desired height, width and depth of the storage box sides with the scissors.
- 3). Glue one poster board side, moving an inch at a time, to the matte base with the hot glue gun. Glue the adjoining sides on in the same manner. Connect the side edges to each other slowly with the hot glue gun.
- 4). Cut a piece of poster board to the same size as the box base with the scissors, adding 1/2 inch to the width and length, for the storage box lid.
- 5). Cut strips of poster board to match the lid-side edge measurements for length and 2 inches for width.
- 6). Attach the edge strips to the base and connect the side edges with the hot glue gun to complete the storage box lid.
