How to Download Music to a Sidekick LX
- 1). Insert the microSD card into the phone by removing the back cover and sliding the card into the slot on the right side of the phone. The contacts on the memory card should face down. The Sidekick LX cannot hold music without the microSD card.
- 2). Plug the small end of the USB cable into the data jack on the left side of the phone and connect the other end to a USB jack on your computer. The computer will recognize the phone after several seconds and prompt you to open the external device. Click "OK" to open the external device.
- 3). Double-click the "Music" folder. All of your music must be stored in this folder.
- 4). Right-click on the music you want to copy to the phone and choose "Copy."
- 5). Add the music to your phone by right-clicking the "Music" folder and choosing "Paste." A status bar will appear on the screen, indicating the amount of time remaining before the music is downloaded to your phone.
- 6). Exit out of the "Music" folder and disconnect the phone from the computer to finish downloading music onto the Sidekick LX.
