A Siamese Cats Personality
The Siamese cats behaviour can be a quirky as their appearance, they're not your normal household pet, they go against they typical images of a cat who snoozes their day away.
Like most cats they like to sleep but they're extremely hyperactive too.
Siamese cats are intelligent, curious and energetic - an interesting combination.
One that can get them into trouble often as they will be determined to overcome any obstacle to satisfy their curiosity, that includes opening doors, cupboards and anything else you've shut them out of.
They are thought of as one of the most the intelligent breeds of cat and love to learn tricks and new things.
They take well to cat training and this helps keep them mentally stimulated.
They need a lot of stimulation, so make sure they have plenty of toys.
It's worth rotating their cat toys instead of letting them have free reign over them so the novelty won't wear off quickly.
They also like to play with people, so are good in large lively families with lots of people to interact with.
They do need someone to keep them company and make sure they're constantly mentally stimulated, so they would suit some one with time on their hands.
Since they're sociable cats, they take well to other household pets too, whether that's a cat, dog or rabbit, but I think the fish will have a short life expectancy! Be aware that they are very demanding, you are the centre of their world and they will attempt (and probably succeed) at becoming the centre of yours too.
They will want to sleep with you, eat along side you, follow you to the bathroom and generally be where ever you are.
Their not a breed that will put up with being ignored as they are very vocal and will attempt you let you know what they want.
Because they can be so noisy, their talking might drive you a bit insane at times but as long as you work out what they want quickly, the meowing usually stops.
They make quite a low pitched sound which you will probably wish had a volume switch or the ability to turn it off.
The Siamese breed of cats are quite happy to be kept indoors long as they have friendly people, toy and something to satisfy their curious nature.
These cat will become your life and you can't help not let them.
They are loyal, playful, talkative and affection.
Their endless energy and curiosity will provide you both with endless houses of fun.
