Leather Scarf Belt Tying Instructions
- This kind of belt has two D-rings attached to one end. Instead of the belt passing through a buckle to secure it, it is looped through the rings. The leather for these kinds of belts is very soft and flexible. Place the belt around the back of your waist or hips. Pull the sides of the scarf belt around to your front. Slide the non-ring side of the belt through the D-rings and pull it tight. Now loop the belt over just the first D-ring and through the middle of the second D-ring. Pull the end of the belt tight. This kind of belt looks great over a long sweater or dress.
- This kind of belt has the belt buckle and belt holes of a regular leather belt. The difference is that there is a scarf (made normally of nylon or cotton) sewn onto both ends of the leather. This provides the look of a scarf belt but the security of a regular belt. Place the belt onto the back of your waist or hips (this kind of belt can even fit through belt loops). Bring the sides of the belt around to your front. Slip the side of the belt with holes through the belt buckle. Adjust the belt to where it is comfortable and put the notch of the buckle through a belt hole. Slide the side with the holes under the belt bucket to secure. This is a cute look to wear with jeans or a jean skirt.
- This kind of belt looks like a regular scarf but is made of leather. The leather is very soft and flexible so it can more freely and easily. Place the scarf around the back of your waist or hips. Pull the sides of the scarf to the front. Tie off the scarf into a knot or a bow to secure it. If the scarf is narrow, you can even wear it in your hair like a headband. Try wearing this kind of belt over jeans (over the belt loops), a long sweater or even a dress.
