How to Heat Shrimp
- 1). Place the frozen shrimp in a large freezer bag and seal tightly.
- 2). Place the bag in a bowl of water cool water to thaw,changing the water every 30 minutes until the shrimp has fully thawed.
- 3). Run the bag under water in the sink for faster thawing, turning it over every couple of minutes so that both sides thaw out.
- 1). Fill a steamer pot with an inch or two of water. Bring to a boil
- 2). Place the cooked shrimp in a steamer basket and place it in the pot over the boiling water.
- 3). Cover and allow the shrimp to heat up, but do not overcook. Once you can smell the steaming shrimp, remove them from the heat immediately.
- 1). Add a tablespoon of butter or olive oil to a large pan or skillet and turn the heat to medium-high.
- 2). Add the shrimp to the heated butter or oil, stirring constantly.
- 3). Remove the shrimp from the pan when you can see the steam rising from them and are fully coated in the oil or butter.
