A Recipe for Your Cake Baking
The foundation of a good and tasty cake is the ingredients used. For that reason, you will have to be very careful when selecting the type of ingredients to include in your cake baking recipe as that is what will determine its general taste. In case it is your first time to bake cakes and you are confused on what to have or where to start and end then this recipe will be very helpful to you not considering the cake type you want to have. First and foremost, you will need to have a bowl which will be used for mixing your ingredients, a spoon preferably wooden, an oven for baking purposes, cake tin, sieve as well as a cooling rack. With all these in your possession you will be good to go.
You are now done with the technical aspect of your cake recipe and the next thing is to concentrate on the food part of it. Among the main ingredients to require is margarine measuring 75g, an equal amount of butter, 200g of baking flour, 175g of sugar, a vanilla essence which is optional, 3 eggs and baking powder. It is important for you to note that these amounts are not fixed but they are the standard ones used for baking a cake. The quantity of these ingredients to use will depend on the size or numbers of cakes that you are out to bake therefore do not limit yourself to that when you have specific needs to satisfy.
The third aspect of your recipe for cakes is the actual baking. You should never go to this step when you have not ascertained the first two steps are okay because you will be engaging in a futile mission. The baking process should begin with preheating of the oven to the required temperature; you should not use a cold oven as it will take you very long time. Once it has attained the right temperature, add margarine or butter using the wooded spoon until it is completely smooth. You can then add the right amount of flour followed by sugar each spoon at a time and stir vigorously. In case you may have a coloring that you want to use then this is the right time to make the addition. You can also add the whisked eggs to the mixture at this stage.
You will then grease the cake tin before pouring the mixture into it to bake for a maximum of one hour but it will also depend on the temperature you are using to determine the baking period. In case you notice some overheating then reduce the temperatures accordingly but not to a level that might jeopardize the baking process. Pressing the middle of the cakes with a finger is the best way to access whether they are ready and if they assume their original shape then know that your cakes are ready to be removed from the oven. Allow the cakes some time to cool once out of the oven.
