Video Marketing Plan
Ideas can be formed by marketers with research, studies and reviews available online. There are tools that can be adapted. In video marketing, having a digital camera, video cam and a computer is not enough. Creativity in all its aspect will trigger successful results. The video should include a content-rich substance for it to be effective. Before starting a video, conceptualize and establish a content development strategy.
How do we establish a content development strategy in video marketing? First, know what information you wish to imply and to whom do you want this video shown. Brainstorm with other people and participate in forums. With all the needed facts and suggestions, you could form a video marketing plan for your video. Take the time to put every good idea on the table, and then see if it meets the following criteria before doing the actual video:
Q. Can I get vital messages across in one minute or less or would it be a little bit longer?
A. Remember, long videos could bore prospective customers! The shorter the video is, the better the results. It is advised that television ads which use longer time cannot be the format online. A 15-second video is better than the 30-second ones. If it is content rich, making it informative is its most effective form.
Q. Am I sufficiently promoting the product without looking desperate or just being too pushy?
A. There are a lot of videos that fail because of the eagerness of pushing itself to be bought. Any salesman could not win his prospective buyers' approval if he pushes too hard and use up the client's patience. Give room for viewers to ponder.
Q. Is it likely that a viewer would watch it and be compelled to share with others?
A. Put yourself as the viewer. Did you enjoy the video? And even if you did, is it enough to make you purchase? If these questions are positively answered then the possibility of sharing it with others is high.
Q. Will the video still impart some value even if the viewer does not become a customer?
A. It would be more acceptable that the viewer did not become a customer but the thought imparted by the video is pleasurable to them. There are people that can share the thought and be an interest to others.
Q. Would the video be different from what's been previously done? What's worse than a copied or duplicated video?
A. It can be annoying to see the same videos with the same concepts and execution. There is always room for revisions but not duplications.
