How to Troubleshoot an Estate Refrigerator

    • 1). Verify that the Estate refrigerator is plugged into a working power supply with a three-prong outlet if the refrigerator does not seem to have power. Three-prong adapters can be purchased at many hardware or grocery stores. Replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker if needed.

    • 2). Ensure the thermostat is turned to a cold temperature if items in the refrigerator seem too warm. Avoid opening the refrigerator door frequently, as this warms the internal temperature and may affect overall food temperature.

    • 3). Adjust the thermostat to a warmer temperature if frost appears on the outside of food products or food is frozen. Allow several hours for the new temperature to take effect inside the unit.

    • 4). Push refrigerator and freezer shelves into position and the crisper cover closed if the doors do not close completely. Wipe down the door seal with a clean, wet cloth and then dry it with a clean towel. This removes excess dirt and debris that may prevent the seal from closing all the way.

    • 5). Ensure the water shutoff valve is completely open and the water line is straight if ice is not being produced or the ice cubes are very small or hollow.

    • 6). Contact a service technician for assistance if the above methods do not resolve the issue.
