You should make sure to teach him or her about healthy habits, for eating and hygiene.
You should coach them through the process of getting ready for school, or to leave the home, at this important age.
The Night Before The night time routine, will usually determine how well the morning routine goes.
The night before should consist of a shower, brushing teeth and a bedtime that allows a good eight or ten hours of sleep.
A child should have his or her last snack or dinner, 2 hours before they go to bed.
The Morning Routine The morning should consist of letting the child wake up with an alarm, be on stand by, in case they do not get up.
They should have clothes laid out, dress themselves, brush hair, brush teeth and make the bed.
If your child is not a morning person, have them check off a list.
They should have 20 to 30 minutes for breakfast, which they should help you with.
Have them pour drinks, or cut up fruit, while you make a hot meal.
Protein is important for breakfast, as well as vitamin C.
Make sure your child isn't rushed in the morning, and if they need help, you should be there to coach them through the process.
