That answer is yes.
Just about anyone can learn this type of dance.
However, physical agility and fitness is required to successfully perform a routine.
That means you might not really get as good at it as you'd like.
It's unlikely that you'll be as good as Gregory Hines or Savion Glover without years of practice.
But that's okay.
Tap dancing is there for anybody to learn.
There are dozens of steps to learn, and it might seem overwhelming at first.
Some common steps include the shuffle, shuffle ball change, flap, flap heel, buffalo, single and double pullbacks, wings, the shim sham shimmy (sometimes referred to as the Lindy), and chugs.
