    • 1). Combine a solution of one part glycerin, one part clear dishwashing detergent, and eight parts water together in a spray bottle. Seal the bottle and then shake it to thoroughly mix the ingredients. Put the bottle aside.

    • 2). Dampen the stain with cold water, and then allow the fabric to set for 20 minutes. Apply cold water to the stain again, and then spray the solution onto the stain.

    • 3). Dab vinegar onto the stain with a cotton ball. Cover the smoke stain with a folded cloth to absorb the nicotine. Keep the cloth on the stain for 30 minutes.

    • 4). Remove the folded cloth and check to see if the stain is gone. If it is, wash the fabric as you normally would and then allow the fabric to air-dry. Repeat the steps if the stain remains.
