How To Manually Set Hibernate on Your Laptop

- From Start go to Control Panel and then double-click Power Options.
- Select the Hibernate tab and choose "Enable hibernate support".
- Click OK and this will close the Power Options window.
- Select Start then Shut Down. When asked what you want to do click on Hibernate.
- If you have Fast User Switching enabled you will be given the options to Stand By, Turn Off or Restart. In order to get the Hibernate option - hold down the Shift key and Stand By will change to Hibernate.
