    • The Chevrolet Camaro first went on sale in 1966 for the 1967 model year and was released in direct competition to Ford's Mustang. This first generation of cars was available as a two-door, four-person coupe or convertible and was built until 1969. As part of the fifth generation of Camaros, the release of the 2009 model in 2008 was delayed and it wasn't until 2010 that the 2008 Camaro first hit the market.

    Exterior Dimensions and Specs

    • The 2008 Chevrolet Camaro is a four-seat, two-door fixed head coupe that measures 186.2 inches long by 79.6 inches wide by 53 inches high. This car has 11 cubic feet of cargo room and weighs a total of 3,860 lbs. The wheelbase measures 110.5 inches and the wheels are made from cast aluminum. The front wheels measure 21 inches and the rear wheels measure 22 inches. The tires for these wheels are sizes 275/30R21 for the front wheels and 305/30R22 for the rear wheels. The wheels features four-wheel independent suspension with coil springs, anti-roll bars and gas pressurized dampers. The brakes are discs brakes on all four wheels and the rotors are 15 inches with four piston calipers. The brakes are servo-assisted, ventilated discs with anti-lock braking system (ABS). The steering is a rack and pinion VPAS set-up that turns lock to lock 2.50.
