NFL Draft Spotlight by Team - #29 Pick by the New York Jets

#29 - New York Jets - Jared Odrick - Penn State Well, it doesn't seem like the Jets need very much after all of their trades and free agent signings over the past year.
Braylon Edwards and newly acquired Santonio Holmes should be plenty for the starting WRs, and Dustin Keller is a good pass catching TE.
Shonn Greene and LaDainian Tomlinson are plenty good for a starting RBs with Leon Washington as the change-of-pace home run threat who also returns kicks and/or punts.
The O-Line is arguably the best in the NFL anyways, so it almost doesn't matter who runs the ball.
As for the defense, NT Kris Jenkins is also coming back from an injury last year, so expect the Jets to have an even better rushing defense.
Now, the Jets are looking as signing Jason Taylor from the Dolphins to provide more of a pass rush.
Taylor is a good fit for a year or two at DE or LOLB, but the Jets should look to draft Jared Odrick from Penn State to play one of the DE spots next to Kris Jenkins for the future.
Taylor can fill in and teach the young players on the team and be a good role model for a year to Odrick as he learns the 3-4 DE position.
Expect the Jets, who went to the AFC championship game last year, to be in the hunt again in 2010.
Rex Ryan should be able to handle the players and personalities on the team to keep them successful.
The Patriots should be worried that their stranglehold on the division is coming to an end.
