How to Throw a Festive Easter Tea Party
- 1). Decorate the table with a pastel tablecloth and contrasting pastel napkins. Remember to use your best china and silverware.
- 2). Make an Easter basket flower arrangement for your table. Line an Easter basket with plastic (to make it waterproof), cut a piece of floral foam to fit inside, soak the foam in water, place it in the basket and then stick your fresh flowers into it.
- 3). Tuck the leftover flowers into your napkin rings.
- 4). Buy several tiny Easter baskets and fill them with candy, nuts, mints and tea bags. Set one at each place setting.
- 5). Have a CD of light classical music playing in the background.
- 6). Brew a fresh pot of English breakfast tea (see Related eHows) as well as a fresh pot of coffee (just in case anyone prefers coffee over tea).
- 7). Offer fresh cream, sugar cubes, artificial sweetener, honey and lemon for the tea. Ask each of your guests which of these things they would like in their tea, and then prepare and serve it to them.
- 8). Serve finger sandwiches, deviled eggs, scones and crumpets as well as some Easter cookies. Set out tiny dishes of lemon curd and marmalade as well as heavy whipped Devonshire cream.
