While these laptop bags are made with special materials that allow x-ray machines to scan the contents, it is important to be certain the right bag is purchased, to ensure a smooth trip throughout the numerous steps of the airport check-in process.
Recently manufactured airport check-in friendly laptop bags come embroidered with a log denoting that they are "check-point" friendly.
Further inspection is mandatory, however, to avoid imitations.
According to Transportation Security Administration regulations, laptop bag dimensions must not exceed 16" high, 24" wide, and 36" in length.
