How to Troubleshoot the Maytag MGR4451
- 1). Ensure the Performa is connected to a working power and gas supply if the entire unit is not working. The gas valve should be turned fully to "On" and the electrical cord must be plugged firmly into the range and a power supply. Reset the circuit breaker if necessary.
- 2). Turn off the surface burner if the flame is uneven or yellow in color. Clean the burner port with a toothpick and wipe the surface burner with a clean, damp cloth. Remove all food residue and debris.
- 3). Preheat the oven if food cooking results are uneven or not as expected. Turn the oven thermostat to a higher temperature if food takes an excessively long time to cook or does not cook thoroughly. Reduce the oven temperature if food is cooking very fast or is burning.
- 4). Press "Cancel" if "Bake" or "Lock" flashes on the display panel. Wait for the oven to cool completely and wipe the oven interior with a clean, damp cloth to clean excess soil or residue. Disconnect the power and wait for a few minutes. Restore power and select a new cooking operation. Press "Start."
- 5). Press and hold "Clock" for five seconds if "SAb" is flashing on the display panel. This indicates that the oven has been set in Sabbath Mode, which must be cleared before the oven will operate.
