I knew about this campground because I had lived in the area previously, and I tent camped there in July 2006.

Describe your camping trip:

I love camping here. There is tent and RV camping on the bluffs overlooking the ocean. It's a short walk down to the beach with two paths to choose from. We met some grest people there and the weather was perfect.

Pros: beach is close, family friendly, restrooms located close throughout, ocean views on the west side, town is very close.


Cons: east side is near the freeway, park rangers strictly enforce the 10pm quiet time (good or bad depending on how you are).

Nearby attractions: Pacific Ocean, San Clemente Pier, Dana Point Harbor, Laguna Beach

Further comments:

Make reservations well in advance, because it fills up quick.
