Jon Lovitz guest stars in The Simpsons episode "Half-Decent Proposal" as Artie Ziff, Marge's billionaire ex-prom date. When Homer's snoring is keeping Marge from sleeping, she winds up at Patty and Selma's for some much needed rest. While there, she hears news of her old prom date, Artie Ziff. She emails him in a drunken stupor, and he immediately helicopters to the Simpson home. He invites the whole family to his yacht, where he tells Homer he'll pay them $1 million for spending the weekend with Marge.

They refuse, but eventually Marge gives in when she knows she can use the money for surgery that will fix Homer's snoring. Homer spies on them, seeing them kiss, but missing the part where Marge throws off Artie. Devastated, Homer takes a job on an oil rig. When it catches fire, Marge saves him using Artie's helicopter. They refuse his money, but use his new invention, which turns Homer's snoring into soft music (along with subliminal messages for Marge).
