The Bottom Line

If you want a face mist, this is not the one. The 24/7 Hydrating Face Mist was more like using a squirt gun than a delicate facial mist.

Guide Review - Review of Lauren Hutton 24/7 Hydrating Face Mist

Recently, I had requested to try some of Lauren Hutton's makeup products. When I received the 24/7 Hydrating Face Mist I was excited because her face mist contains SPF 18. At first glance, the packaging seemed nice, especially since the bottle was recyclable. I also found that the mist contained some natural ingredients such as green tea and white tea extract, Aloe Vera, and orange peel wax. The automatic downside was the four kinds of parabens found in the ingredients.

Even after the initial turn-off, I still wanted to test the product so I could review it. Even though the spray bottle seemed harmless, I decided to pump a few sprays into my sink before misting my face. I'm really glad I did this because once the pump was primed, the hydrating solution shot out of the hole in the nozzle like a water gun. Utterly shocked, I tried it again but once again there was no mist, only squirting.

Had I actually sprayed my face it probably would have shot me in the eyes, and even though I close my eyes when misting my face it still would not have been a pleasant experience.

Before giving up, I tried to unscrew the top, rinse the sprayer, and then put it back in place. Even after flushing the sprayer the product still resembled a water gun instead of a facial mist. So I did spray some into my hands and patted it onto my skin to see if the product actually worked. It did not feel greasy, but it smudged my mineral makeup a little because of the way I had to apply it. So the bottom line is that I really did not care for this product at all. Even looking past the spray fiasco I don't like the idea of four of the ingredients being parabens. This product is a definite no.
