Where to Purchase Designer Shoes for Less
We love all shoes, but nothing beats the feeling of finding a beautiful pair of designer shoes marked down way below retail. I own many pairs of designer shoes, but there are only a couple of different pairs that I paid full price for because over the years I have accumulated a list of a few stores that carry designer shoes without the designer price tag.
In need of a new pair of shoes? Here's where to purchase designer shoes for less:
6pm.com
6pm.com is the Zappos.com outlet, which means that you will find many of the same brands and styles at 6pm.com that you do at Zappos.com, but for a fraction of the price! Also like Zappos.com, 6pm.com offers free shipping on all orders!
The prices on designer shoes are frequently lower at 6pm.com than they are anywhere else, but the company still offers the occasional coupon as well.
For even better savings, be sure to stop by the 6pm.com Outlet in Kentucky should you ever find yourself in the Louisville area. The prices at the outlet are incredibly low, and they offer frequent sales and discounts that make the prices actually unbelievable!
Amazon
Amazon is many people's go-to store for everything and that should include designer shoes! I recently purchased a pair of brand new UGG boots from Amazon for $100 less than they cost at Nordstrom. As with most products, it is almost always worth checking the prices at Amazon to see how they compare with other stores.
DSW
This list would not be complete without including DSW, where nearly all of the shoes are almost always on sale.
One hint I employ for getting the best deals at DSW is to go to the sale section at the back of the store first and look for any boxes that are marked down 50-70 percent. You will have to dig a bit but you can almost always find designer brands tucked into these boxes.
Sample Sale Sites
I cannot tell you how many pairs of designer shoes I have purchased for less from sample sale sites over the years. Sites like Rue La La, Gilt, and Ideel frequently offer sales and promotions on some of the biggest names in footwear. Another sample sale site that is worth checking is The RealReal, which is a combination sample sale site and high-end online consignment thrift store. This means that most of the items sold here will be used, but it also means that the deals can be absolutely incredible. Recent sales have featured lightly worn Prada and Kate Spade footwear for less than $100 per pair!
Marshall's
While I often get TJ Maxx and Marshall's confused, one of the main things that separates the two stores is that Marshall's is known for their incredible shoe collection. The shoe section at Marshall's is filled with designer brands like Coach, Kate Spade, and many more. The turnover at Marshall's is very quick though, so it is worth checking back frequently for new styles!
Thrift Stores
While I am not usually very persistent about stopping into thrift stores and looking for fabulous designer finds, I have friends that have lucked out by finding shoes from Gucci and Kate Spade for a small fraction of the original retail price. Thrift shopping takes diligence and the finds aren't guaranteed like they are from some of the sources above, but if you find yourself in a thrift store I definitely recommend browsing the shoe section for any designer shoe finds for less!
