Why Does President Clinton Eat Only Plant-Based Food?

President Clinton lost a lot of weight recently.
When he was interviewed on CNN, he explained why and how he did that.
No matter what your political orientation, or what you think of the man personally, I think you have to agree with everybody else that he is one of the smartest men who ever became president.
So when he speaks, I listen.
First, the how.
Simple.
He only eats plant-based foods: beans, legumes, whole grains, fruits, vegetables.
He will have fish occasionally, but hardly ever.
He has a protein drink in the morning with almond milk.
No dairy.
Ever since he started doing that, his metabolism changed and he lost 24 pounds.
Without effort.
I have had the very same experience.
When I ate this way for a month, I dropped five pounds and I had less to lose (frankly).
And I ate a lot of food.
Now I am eating some meat again, and I am no longer losing weight, even though I could lose a little more.
I know what I have to do (and so do you).
Why? Why did President Clinton change his diet so drastically? You know he loved a good burger.
He explained it this way.
He was getting ready for his daughter's wedding and wanted to lose some weight.
But much more importantly, he had a stent put in a vein near his heart.
You know he already had a by-pass before.
He realized that cholesterol was still clogging up his arteries and veins.
If he was going to keep eating the way he used to, he was not going to live for very long.
When he talks about that, you can see him choking up.
President Clinton had one of the most stressful jobs in the world: President of the United States.
He needs to take extra good care of his health.
And not only is his daughter now happily married, she might have children.
Bill Clinton would love to have many years to enjoy his grandchildren.
He as an excellent reason to want to live longer.
So he did his research and he found that medical research has shown that you can reverse heart disease.
Of the people who have been eating a plant-based diet since 1986, 82% of them begun to heal their own bodies, including their cardio-vascular system.
Their arterial blockage cleared up.
Calcium deposits in their veins broke down.
In other words, for more than 25 years, medical science has proven that we can reverse heart disease by eating the right foods.
Researchers he mentions are Dean Ornish, Caldwell Esselstyn, and Colin and Thomas Campbell.
As I said, if President Clinton speaks, I listen.
