I found out about this campground from friends, and I tent camped there in October 2008.
Describe your camping trip:
Brown County is beautiful in the fall. The roads are perfectly paved. We camped in the Taylor Ridge area, which appeared to be the most wooded and secluded. These are all electric sites. Some are better than others. I recommend site 330, if you can get it. We were at 349.
It was mostly campers, and although I prefer to camp more privately, it wasn't too bad. We only had neighbors on one side thankfully.
Pros: Clean modern rest rooms, nice hiking trails, cool area.
Cons: Campsites are too close together.
Nearby attractions: Brown County
Further comments: DNR patrols regularly and it was very quiet.
