You're better off focusing on a few key pieces of golf equipment and saving the advanced gadgets for later.

The first thing you need to invest in for golf is a good pair of golf shoes. During a game of golf, you'll spend lots of time on your feet so be sure to buy golf shoes that fit well and that are comfortable. The shoes may be slightly uncomfortable as you break them in but wearing them off the course or to the driving range can speed up the process. Your spikes will need to be appropriate for the courses that you'll play most often. Most U.S. courses, for instance, require soft spike shoes.

Oddly enough, a golf umbrella happens to be an important piece of golf equipment. It doesn't matter where you play, there can be sporadic storms. Whether you feel you need protection from a little rain or not, the odds are good that your equipment does. Golf clubs cost a decent amount of money. It is in your best interest to safeguard them the best way your able to. In spite of what the shaft material is, the probability is good that the club heads are not impermeable to rust.
