Cat Showing - What You Should Really Know When the International Show Begins
When you arrive at a cat show, you will be given a cage for your cat with an entry number attached, as well as a show catalog.

Unfortunately, unlike the open ring judging in the US, the exhibitors are not close enough to observe the process.
The other method of judging is to provide the judge with a waist high rolling table upon which there is room to place a cat as well as a sponge and a bowl of disinfectant.
The judge is accompanied by a steward who assists her as she rolls the table from cage to cage and examines the cats in order.
The exhibitors are not allowed in the show hall while the judging is in progress, but are granted admittance when it is completed and the awards have been hung on the cages.
Even if your cat does not receive a final award, remember that the cat fancy is a hobby and a hobby should be fun.
