How to Be a Goth Teen
- 1). Wear lots of black clothing, but be creative in your choices. Choose renaissance Victorian style clothing items, such as a long coat that incorporates velvet and lace for a traditional goth look. Go for a cyber-goth look with reflective clothing that incorporates black and neon colors, as well as spiky accessories. Try a corset for a burlesque goth style, if you are a girl.
- 2). Dye your hair black or choose a dramatic color that will make a statement, such as red, blue, pink or green. If you can't decide -- why not go for streaks and combine several different colors? Do this at home with dye gels or have your hair dyed professionally at a salon.
- 3). Wear lots of dramatic black eye makeup; including eyeliner and eye shadow. Alternatively, experiment with electric blue, purple or green eye makeup. Avoid joining the lines of eyeliner in the corners of your eyes, as this will make them appear smaller.
