Backward Compatibility

• When a piece of technology can run software from an earlier model, it is called backward compatible. In this case, it would refer to the Nintendo DS Lite being able to play games from earlier Nintendo handheld systems.
  
  

Inserting the Game

• The GBA game can be inserted into Slot 2 on the back of the DS Lite.
  
  

Starting the Game

• When the DS Lite is turned on, the GBA game will be selectable on the title screen. Touch the image with the stylus in order to begin.
  
  

Playing the Game

• The GameBoy Advance game can be played with the buttons on the DS Lite, but the stylus cannot be used.
  
  

Game Modes

• The DS Lite only allows for single-player game play for GBA games.
