An MMO or a Massively Multiplayer Online game is basically an online game that can support a vast number of players gaming at one and the same time. An MMO is played on the Internet and features at least one persistent world.

MMOs, which used to be popularly played on PCs, can now also be played on a variety of mobile devices spanning across a huge range of mobile platforms.

The increase in demand for smartphones and other “smart” mobile devices has created in a surge of MMO games available today.

MMO games let online gamers interact with each other, thereby giving online players a global platform on a variety of gameplay types, including RPGs, FPS’, Real-time strategy, Sports, Social gaming and so on.
