Do you play golf very well whenever you get to play? Are you frequently plagued by injuries that prevent you from enjoying your game to the fullest? Do not conclude that you are plain unlucky or that your game is suffering due to lack of health.
Rather, you must understand that perhaps your injuries are caused by your faulty golf technique.
Many persons work under the presumption that a faulty golf technique will not help them play golf well.
That is definitely not true.
It is possible to have a very bad technique and yet get the perfect swing as far as distance traveled is concerned.
However, this will put a lot of strain on your body.
When you put the body under strain on a regular basis, it breaks down and you end up with injuries.
The right technique is that which will not only help you play the game well but which will also help you play the game consistently well.
On the other hand, if you are not in a position to play the game in a sustainable manner, it is obvious that something is wrong with your technique.
Changing your technique for this reason can be the toughest.
Whenever you change your natural style of playing and whenever you try to make artificial alterations, it is obvious that your performance is going to suffer.
You may find yourself free of injuries but you may end up with very poor score in your game.
For most persons, this is such a big ego blow that they decide to opt for the former approach of playing well even if they get injured on a frequent basis.
However, all it takes is one career threatening injury and the game comes to an end permanently.
On the other hand, if you spend six to eight months working on your game with a changed technique, you will become good at it sooner or later.
Once the changes are incorporated in your mental setup, you will discover that your old talent and comfort level in the game comes back very quickly.
Once that happens, you can continue playing well for as long as form permits without any reduction in the quality of performance.
Remember, injuries in your golf game can have a serious impact on your other aspects of your life.
Hence, it is not just a question of the game alone.
It may indicate a repetitive flaw that ought to be remedied to enjoy your life and the game to the fullest.
