How to Drain Water When Cooking Beef
- 1). Place a portion of ground beef in a large saute pan.
- 2). Turn the heat to medium-high on your stove and begin cooking the beef. Use a spatula to chop up the meat, separating it into smaller chunks.
- 3). Continue cooking the beef, allowing it to thoroughly brown.
- 4). Pour the cooked meat into a colander to drain off excess moisture and fat. To remove additional fat, rinse the meat in warm water. Place the beef back into the saute pan.
- 5). Cook for several minutes more to dry off any additional moisture over medium heat.
