Carbohydrate is the body's preferred energy source, and it's very important to your body if you are working out on a regular basis.
Many fitness enthusiasts focus too much on building muscles.
They drink their protein shakes but they neglect their carbs.

However, if you are not getting enough carbs from your meals, you need to get them somewhere else.

High carb protein shakes are not particularly popular in the marketplace because most people are just trying to lose weight.
So they go for low carb shakes instead of high carb drinks.
Don't let what is popular mislead you.
If you need the carbs, then a high carb shake can bring you more convenience.
You can create your own high carb drinks by mixing whole grains (like brown rice) or potatoes in your shake.
