All of the charges for cellular network access are paid for by Amazon. On the down side, the cellular system decreases battery life from three weeks to 10 days, according to Amazon. • The Kindle DX is a larger screen version of the Kindle 3G. • The price of a Kindle 3G is $189, but customers in the United States can get the price reduced to $164 if they agree to accept special offers, or coupons, from Amazon.
