You need to keep this in mind other ways you can change the way you are using your lure is by retrieving at a different speed.

Do you need to do it faster or slower?

Do I need to bring it at a different angle?

Give it a try and succeed.

Another option would be swapping from live bait and having a spinner on the end of the lure.

When the lure is turning the trout fish will have less time to be cautious about what they are looking at and they have two decisions, either bite it or leave it.

That does not mean though you can just pop a spinner on the end and it will all come good.

You need to choose the right spinner to use that you will feel is appropriate for the conditions and also decide how to play the fish.

Are you go to cast and then retrieve the spinner or are you're going start trolling?
