I adopted Athena from our local Anti-Cruelty Society shelter in 2006, when she was four years old. She is now going on eight and in good health and spirits. There were younger kitties available for adoption that day, but when I held Athena, she stole my heart. I felt she needed me more than some of the little kittens who would have no trouble finding homes, and we have never regretted taking her into our home.

She is quiet and reserved, but very affectionate with us, her pet parents, and her two adopted sisters. Her beautiful tortoiseshell coat is exceptionally soft and silky, and she loves to have her coat brushed every day.
