Why Most People Fail at Internet Marketing
There is an extremely high failure rate in the business of internet marketing.
Although this isn't a major problem for most people (since the amount of money it costs you to get started is relatively low, and is virtually nothing compared to the cost of starting any other kind of business), it can be extremely frustrating if you had your heart set on leading the life of an internet marketer.
There are so many guru's out there, and there's so much information going about that it's easy to become an information addict that spends all day patrolling the forums and looking for the next 'quick fix' that will make them rich.
This kind of attitude is an extremely unhealthy one, and is not at all profitable.
There are two main reasons for this.
Firstly, a lot of the information out there simply doesn't work (for most people at least).
Investing time in something that doesn't work is incredibly annoying and will only make you feel like giving up.
There are many reasons for why a lot of the information out there isn't great, but that's something for another article.
Secondly, if you're spending all of your time running around on internet forums, keeping track of what's going on and who's doing what, you're not leaving much time for yourself to actually do any work! This is made even worse if you're just doing this as a hobby and have other commitments (like a full-time job).
The best thing to do, then, is to pick a method that's been proven to work and to stick with it for at least 6 months, no-matter what.
Afterward you can reassess, but for that length of time at least you should focus all your energy on doing the best you can.
