Signs That Your Relationship Is Falling Apart
- When couples are close, they spend plenty of time together. But when a relationship starts to fall apart, this time may become less and less. Likewise, partners may become more emotionally distant, less willing to open up and discuss their feelings.
- Arguing is a common sign that things are not right in a romantic relationship. Often, the fights are caused by insignificant events and may occur as much as once a day or more. Partners may begin to look for reasons to pick fights with one another, either out of frustration or hoping that the other partner will want to end things first.
- Over time, people change in many different ways. Couples who have been together for an extended period of time often start to develop different interests, but these interests may become the cause of conflict in poor relationships. A partner may use a new hobby as a way to escape the relationship and spend more time apart.
- Intimacy plays a big role in a relationship, whether it's through connecting emotionally or physically. When couples start to drift apart, they may become less interested in being together in an intimate way. This may be the case for one or both partners; if only one partner becomes less interested, this may also cause arguments between the couple.
