Let's begin...
Gathering The Supplies to Make a Snowman Candy Jar
Before you start any project it is easiest to gather together all of the supplies. For this project you will need:
Draw a Circle on the Muslin for the Snowman Head
Start out by tracing around the lid of the canning jar to make a circle on the muslin.
Cutting Out Your Muslin
Cut out a circle, about 1-inch larger around than the circle you drew. I used a pinking shears to add some texture to the edge, but this is optional.
Forming the Snowman's Head
Now, place the lid on the canning jar, placing a small piece of batting on top of it. Lay the muslin circle centered on top of the batting and carefully screw on the lid ring. If the candy jar will be opened and closed a lot, you might want to use a little glue around the outside edges of the lid and the ring.
Making the Snowman's Hat
Cut a hat shape out of black craft foam and glue it onto the snowman's head.
Making the Snowman's Nose
Cut a small triangle out of orange craft foam. Glue it onto the snowman's face to be the nose.
Adding the Snowman's Eyes
Glue 2 small buttons on to be the snowman's eyes.
Use dimensional paint to make small, black dots to look like a coal mouth.
Finally, attach a ba bow made out of ribbon. You can also add more details, such ase small snowflake button I glued to the hat and a hat band made de out of ribbon. Of course, these are optional but you have to admit they add a nice touch!
