Bottom Line on Aldon Smith:

Aldon Smith is another one of those tweeners who is probably best suited as a rush linebacker in a 3-4 set. But he could be very effective as a 4-3 defensive end, especially if he adds another ten pounds to his frame. Being just a redshirt sophomore, he is a little inexperienced, but on the flip side of that, he also has a tremendous upside and has a long way to go to reach his potential.

Projection: Because of his potential as an outside pass rusher as well as his ability to hold up against the run, Smith has the chance to be a first-round pick if he has a solid showing in pre-draft workouts.
