A Holiday Cottage is the Best Choice of Accommodation

Holiday cottages are becoming more and more used by holidays makers, people are now more likely to use a holiday cottage retreat than any other form of accommodation such as hotels or caravan.
The reason that we have seen an increase in the amount of people that are changing to cottage retreats is because of the fact that it is more confidential, private and safer than staying in a hotel.
We have all heard the horror stories about money being taken out of peoples rooms while they are away as well as other valuable items such as jewellery, this is less of a scenario in cottages as you will be the only one in the accommodation during your period of stay, there is usually no cleaners around until your contract is over.
Basically a holiday cottage is a one story house which is made available for tourists to rent during the holiday season.
Most holiday retreats usually have around 2-3 bedrooms but you should always double check whether or not they do with the person or company that is letting them out.
Another fact to remember is what sort of accommodation are you actually looking for, if you are planning to spend all of your day outside then you will not really need any modern features, as they will be going to waste.
But if on the other hand you decide that you will be spending a lot of time inside you may want to look out for features such as a unique fitted kitchen with all the modern compliances, satellite TV a telephone, internet access and other modern luxuries.
Another major factor to keep into account is the location, you must decide if you would like to stay closer to the beach or close to a city centre.
As if you do not have regular transport it may be quite hard to get around.
The best cottages can be found in village retreats where they are one with nature, you get all the traditional features of a cottage plus the tranquility of nature at its best.
Finally do not forget to ask about prices as an initial price quoted may not include bills, you should also ask the owner if there is any insurance in place, as if you incur any breakages you do not want to be left liable for the cost as it may work out very expensive.
