How do I Shorten a Phiten Necklace?
- 1). Unhook the necklace clasp.
- 2). Push the Phiten necklace base, a clasp at each end, through one of the loops at either end of the necklace. Continue pushing the necklace base through the loops until you have two separate pieces of your necklace. The necklace base is one color, such as black. The second piece is another color, such as blue. The second piece is a continuous circle of Phiten titanium thread.
- 3). Sew the ends together to form a circle. Snip the circle at this junction to open the circle, and thread with a pair of scissors.
- 4). Snip off as much of the circle loop as needed. Thread your needle and re-sew the circle together.
- 5). Purchase a new, shorter Phiten necklace base to match the length of your loop.
- 6). Place your circle vertically on your workspace in the center of the circle.
- 7). Braid the left and right sides of the circle across the necklace base. When you get to the end of the necklace, pull the clasp back through the end loops. Your necklace is ready to wear.
