    • 1). Set up an online bank account with your bank. Typically, this will involve signing account papers, creating an account name and creating a password.

    • 2). Receive a check scanner from your bank that you simply plug into your computer with a USB cord.

    • 3). Log in to your online bank account with your account name and password.

    • 4). Place the checks you need to deposit into the input slot of the check scanner. Most scanner input slots can handle a large number of checks at once, sometimes as many as 200. Wait while the scanner scans each check one at a time and pushes them through to the output slot.

    • 5). Check your online bank account to see the images of each check you scanned. Make sure the images match the checks.

    • 6). Verify your account balance and log out of your bank account.

    • 1). Write "For Deposit Only" on the back of each check you wish to deposit and endorse the checks with your signature.

    • 2). Fill out a deposit slip with the check numbers and amounts. Add the individual check amounts and calculate the total. Write the total deposit amount on the deposit slip.

    • 3). Place the endorsed checks and the deposit slip in a deposit envelope. Seal the envelope.

    • 4). Place the deposit envelope into the drop box of your bank. Close the handle of the drop box and open it again. Look inside to verify that your deposit envelope entered into the bank's holding basket inside the bank.

    • 5). Verify the check deposit the following day to ensure that the bank processed your deposit.
