How to Connect to an iPhone SSH
- 1). Download and install WinSCP on your Windows computer, or Cyberduck on your Mac. This software allows you to wirelessly connect to the jailbroken iPhone from your computer.
- 2). Launch the Cydia application store on the iPhone by tapping its icon on the home screen.
- 3). Tap the "Search" button and type "OpenSSH" into the search box. Tap "OpenSSH" in the search results, followed by the "Install" button. Tap "Confirm" to download and install OpenSSH on your iPhone.
- 4). Launch WinSCP or Cyberduck on your computer by clicking its icon on the desktop.
- 5). Enter the iPhone's IP address in the "Host Name" box. Enter "root" in the username box, and "alpine" in the password box. If requested, select "SFTP" from the "File protocol" drop-down menu.
- 6). Click the "Login" button, and the computer will connect to the iPhone via an SSH connection to its Wi-Fi IP address.
