I found out about this campground on the Ohio Campground Web site, and I RV camped there in August 2009.
Describe your camping trip:
Spent the past several days damping at Dillon State Park. We have a PUP. This park seems to be a mixed bag. Most of the sites were of average size, but very few had shade the entire day. Most had sun, some with sun in the AM, and the balance with sun in the PM.
We like shade. The shower houses are few with one on each loop. Not many more rest rooms. The showers were fairly clean, but the cleaning crew did not have a regular schedule and would show-up at any time. The loop where we stayed had maybe 8-10 campers. The loop had maybe 30-40 sites. One morning the mowing crew showed up at 8 am and started in the occupied areas. I realize they have a job to do, but mow where the grass/sites are not occupied. The campground was quiet (except that one morning), but it was during the week. Lots to do if you have a boat, but limited if you do not. Check in crew was helpful and friendly.
Pros: Nice lake, nice scenery, and quiet (most of the time).
Cons: Mowing crew started in the wrong area too early. Cleaning crew needs to have a set cleaning schedule.
Nearby attractions:The Wilds, Y Bridge, pottery and baskets.
Further comments: Not sure I would return to this state park campground.
