Personal Development - How I Developed My Charisma From an Early Age

Charisma described as charm, allure, personality or appeal is a quality that will work for you and position you in the line of opportunity.
Your life will attract good opportunities all the time.
I do not as yet claim to have attained it, but I am working on it and have been doing so for many years.
Take a good look at most successful people and you will discover that they possess charisma and not in small amounts but in large doses.
I believe you can work on your charisma and begin to attract opportunities of a lifetime.
Opportunities are shy and choosy, make sure they choose you.
I share some experiences which may remind you also of your own efforts in that regard.
I have been developing myself since school, apart from the formal education I received, I made a conscious decision that I am going to develop myself in other disciplines as well.
It would have been a sad thing for me to emerge out of thirteen years of schooling having only developed the ability to grasp academic concepts in Mathematics, Science, Economics and apply them in exams without the ability to relate to others.
I would have emerged without exploring hidden talents.
I owe part of it to a school system where it was compulsory for every able - bodied individual to participate in disciplines like track and field athletic events as well as steeple chase.
You could not escape this unless if you were certified to be physically unfit by a medical practitioner.
I was able to discover my competitive, aggressive, driven gritty side as I contended with fellow students.
On the intellectual side, it was imperative to belong to a cultural society to develop the use of language, public speaking skills and connecting with peers at an intellectual and social level.
I was a member of the debating society and I did public speaking even though I had a lot to learn from different speakers.
I never started off with the confidence I now have but I learned the principle that the ability to articulate issues in a clear manner is requisite for success.
As an adult I have had the opportunity to speak in many fora and I can tell you that it took a lot of work.
My choice of subjects was influenced by the fact that I needed to develop my analytical skills and be able to dissect a case and draw up conclusions.
I studied History as one of my A level subjects because it gave me the opportunity to be opinionated and prove myself.
I still apply my essay writing skills to this day as a writer.
I took up marketing after school for the simple reason that I am a self - motivated person and I need to be able to develop myself as a communicator.
I have had immense opportunity to do so and I can say that I am a good work - in - progress.
I am not timid to "voice" my opinion and weigh in with timely advice into business strategy because I have developed myself in that respect.
I have benefited a lot from economies of time through associating with bigger, better minds that have "trail - blazed" and done before things I aspire to do now.
They have succeeded in passing onto me their treasure of courage and confidence and I am grateful for such blessing that comes by association.
At the moment I write online and share my insights and this helps me sharpen my perspective.
I might still be a work - in - progress, but I hope my little testimony will help you determine that you will deliberately work on developing yourself and acquire charisma, which I honestly believe is a difference maker.
