Inflatable Sofa

I've come across all sorts of inflatable sofas and crazy shapes on the web and in high street stores.
Most of them are designed in the shape of a cartoon caricature of a 2 arm couch and all of them look like their durability is going to be very limited.
Often semi transparent in bright colours they are only really suitable for a child's playroom or bedroom and would look totally out of place in a stylishly designed modern living room.
The valves are normally of the quality of a beach toy, lilo or blow up ball and natural deflation usually occurs with in 2 or 3 days, a week at the most.
I've searched extensively online for a hybrid type of inflatable sofa.
I'm trying to find sofas where the frame is built like a conventional one but each cushion utilises an inflatable filling instead of a foam, fibre or feather filling.
The cushions themselves could be a hybrid, consisting of an air filled core topped with a foam layer.
This foam layer would be approximately 1 inch thick and would serve to soften the contact area between the cushion cover and the air cushion.
Alternatively a layer of polyester wadding could be used.
If the inflatable device was made of a durable material with double welded seams then its durability would probably be sufficient for the purpose.
In case of deflation, each cushion would have a discreet hand pump positioned in an accessible place behind the cushion but not visible once tucked in.
The added benefit of this device is that the user can adjust the pressure in the cushion to his or her requirements by inflating or deflating at will.
I'm assuming, as I cannot find any products like this, that either the proposed inflatable cushion is uncomfortable to sit on and impractical for the user, or because of convention no one has dared or thought about testing it in the marketplace.
Foam is a relatively bulky product and costly to package and transport, even flat pack sofas take up a lot of space.
Incorporating inflatable cushions, a large flat pack sofa could be packaged into a manageable box, easily transported in bulk, easily stocked on shelves in warehouses or retail stores, and easily transported home by the consumer.
The cost of the end product could also be considerably reduced, making it an ideal product for students, or first time buyers on modest incomes.
Should any punctures occur, either these could be repaired with an included repair kit, or replacement cushions could be made easily available by the manufacturer.
